Ok, so I've got to buy a 3 point hitch for the BX25, because, as you all know, it is not included with the tractor any more. I'd like to save $100 and get an aftermarket one, seeing how the only thing I plan to use it for is a carryall now and then. Even if just on principle, I think I should have one.

Any of you BX owners know whether either of these might fit or if the BX22, 23, 24 and 25 all take the same hitch?

first link you provided, the arms looks somewhat longer then the BX24. the second link, I like the telescoping pin tightener. also the second link looks like the arms may need to be reversed so the connections are on the inside. you also will need to purchase the bushing to fit on the round bar on the outside. Either one you get, you might, from judging from the pictures, have some modifications to do.:(

Your second link looks like what my B7610 setup has. That long rod that acts as the pivot point isn't included in the first set. If it is not already on your tractor, it could be an expensive 'extra' part.

Ha, thanks guys, it's kind of what I suspected...Kubota's got me by the short ones.:D Guess I'd rather it fit right the first time than screw around trying to make it work.

I use my 3PH all the time. The BH goes on and off easier than the 3PH. When I grow up, I want to have another tractor with the 3PH on all the time and my BX as a TLB.

I'd disagree. Probably 3/4 of BX -TLB owners never use the 3pt. If you need it, its priced affordably.

My BX 23 was $15500 and included the 3 point .
$15300 with out the 3 point and $400 for the 3 point later is not afordable pricing in my math.

not trying to start an arguement - but 3/4 of bx's is alot of owners. just judging by the TBN'ers here, 90% or higher use the 3PT on the bx's. in the real world , number might be higher. Dont you think during the course of ownership , 98% of bx owners do get around using and trying out the 3 pt hitch at least once ? where do you get the 3/4 percentage from ? from just selling them the BX's and never hear from them ? I am sure majority of BX onwers goes to other stores like TSC or fleet , or even get used ones for 3 pt implements so dealers never really hear about them using the 3 pt hitch.;) hope I didnt setoff any wars here.. :D:)

Here I am using 2 of my three 3 point hitches at the same time on the same projcect / task .

When I grow up
Wonder if that will ever happen?:D

If I didn't have a 3 point(s)
I couldn't use the tiller and drag pictured.

I guess I'm one of the 1/4 that use it too. I would have trouble using my landscape rake, box blade, middle buster/subsoiler without the 3 pt hitch:rolleyes:. Kubota will probably include it again on the BX26:D.

One of the reasons i went with a BX 1500 over a JD x700 series was because the 3 point was standard on the BX 1500 but cost extra on the JD x700.:)

They should start including it on the bx 25 now and no change in price,

TBN visitors are nothing like the average tractor user. As a salesperson, I can tell the difference between a customer who has spent time reading online, and those who have not. The questions and priorities are different. Its pretty amazing. 3/4 is a big number, that comes from what we see for trade in's. We've seen many machines, even larger ones, with 3pts that have never been used. It may not be 3/4... but its at least 1/2.

I can believe this, and it only makes sense that Kubota must also have been pretty sure of this before they decided to go this route. Not saying it's right or wrong, but as a bottom line business decision they're betting that, for the majority of potential BX25 buyers, not having the 3 point will not be a deal breaker...and they're probably right.

Heck, I may well never use it myself, but I still want one. But I can't see paying full price for something I may never use.

So...back to my original question (maybe Mr. Messick can chime in here)---->Will any or all the earlier BX series 3 point hitches fit the 25 (in case I find one for sale from a current owner), and/or does anyone know a cheaper aftermarket alternative?

The BX24 hitch should fit, as the only difference between the tractors is really sheet metal. There is no aftermarket. The BX2506 hitch is $199.. frankly, thats a bargin price for all that it is. Your dealer may mark that up some to cover UPS.

I still like the idea that My BX23 was 15500 with the 3 point not 15700 after adding a 3 point to it.

Ya think I should start holding my breath about now? :)
All I can say is I'm sure glad they weren't doing it that way when i got my BX23.
I'd hate to have paid more than the 15500 by the time i got it with a 3 point on it.

And to be clear, just how many times have you taken the BH off your TLB and used the 3ph?
