Salt spreader Ideas

Looking for ideas on how to mount my Meyers salt spreader. It's the "Mini" model, 400lb hopper, has a reciever mount. Originanlly I had planned to weld a reciever to my box blade. Then I lookd at it and realized I'll be picking this thing up to slide it on the mount. It only weighs 135lb empty, but still. So now I'm thinking make up a 3 point setup on it to just back the tractor up to it and go. Whats your thoughts? Give me some ideas...

I have a receiver hitch on my 425 and have a 250# tailgate salter. I never got around to trying it, but it would have worked great. However I need #400 capacity to salt the lots that I clear.

I happen to have a Kolpin dirt works 3pt trailer setup. That was the reason for the receiver hitch. I took the trailer, removed the hopper from the salter and made a larger hopper that I tow behind now.

I have had the opportunity to use it once this year. I like salting from the tractor verses the truck. You can see the displacement of the salt and avoid over salting or undersalting an area.

It took about 15-20 min to go through 400#.

I like that idea. Think I'll set mine up close to that.
How do you control it? I have the box and am thinking of just mounting it and then some quick connections up close to the box.
