Safety sensor "adjustment"

New MX5800 is too dang sensitive, changing buckets if I lean to make sure I'm lined up it kills the engine. I'm about 230# so I think I've got plenty of weight in the seat

I'm not looking to disconnect it, just adjust it to be a little less sensitive. Any tips?

Have similar issue on L3901. Switch is on the left side of the seat and if I lean to the right too much contact is broken and engine dies. I think it is called "presence switch". Maybe if it was relocated to the middle??

Yup, left side of the seat when you flip it up. Easy to bend to adjust. Even easier to disconnect!

I fixed mine w a zip tie. hasn't given me a problem since. (however, disabling a safety device can be hazardous to your health)

I did the same, just ziptied the lever on the switch down. Easier to remove if a rookie drives it or I sell it than re-wiring. Would take about 5 seconds to remove, maybe 8 to reinstall.

Argh! I hate that switch. My old 1954 IH let me stand up and drive.
It's about time I made the proper "sensitivity adjustment" on my Kubota

I installed a on/off switch on mine. Easy to make it "less sensitive". Does your tractor have one that is built into the seat or the lever style. The lever style is easy to make less sensitive by adding a small shim. I'd guess it's a lever style because they are less sensitive to begin with.
