Safe way to raise a 30' pole

I shudder at the loads one could place on the front axle casting with that set up.

"honey, step up on the back of the mower deck, I just can't lift this load, and need a bit more ballast out back!"
That's one good thing about having limited hydraulic power, keeps me from tearing stuff up....

I set my trusses by myself. 24x24 garage/storage addition. I'd set them in upside down on the walls, one side then the other. Then I'd swing the pointed top up onto a step ladder. Then use a long 2x4 to push it the rest of the way up and over to lean onto the previous one. Worked really well. Wife came home and she was kinda surprised I'd set them all without assistance. So was I! :ROFLMAO:

Lol… the first one must’ve been tricky, tho!

I leaned it against the existing back wall of the garage I was extending from. Once it was locked to that back wall and the new side walls, I did the next one and so on. Having that existing building was like having a helper. :)

Swing a truss.
Move a ladder.
Tack in place.
Repeat xteen times.
