Sabre 1948 price?

Can anyone tell me what they paid (or was quoted) for a new Sabre 1948?

List price is 3529, mulch kit 159, powerflo bagger 679, grand total 4367.

I have two JD dealers near me. One doesn't have any. The other will only come down a couple hundred off list.

If you live close to Home Depot, You might check out their Scotts Lawn Tractors. Scotts is made by John Deere and is very similiar to Sabre. I bought a Scotts 2348 last year.It has a Kohler engine. List was $3398, I bought last fall on sale for $2750. HD has a model 2554 and list is $3999. This is a very nice unit and almost identical to Sabre. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. I was also considering Scotts, but it seems like all the Home Depots near me are out of stock. I suppose they've cleared out their inventory of Scotts in preparation for the new JDs that are supposed to be marketed soon in Home Depots. Anyway, thanks for the pricing info - it does help.
