RX7340

Tractor was finally delivered today. It was delayed by a few weeks waiting for the 2nd rear remote to come in, it still isn't in and Kioti keeps pushing the expected shipping date, so dealer just delivered without and will add the remotes when they have all of them. First observations, the new cab is huge. Everything about the cab is upgraded and is a major improvement from the 20 series. The instrument cluster provides a lot of useful information. One dumb move is they show the speed in MPH, but the fuel economy is in liters instead of gallons. The joystick comes from factory with buttons for the 3rd function already installed, so no swapping of the joystick. There is a nice throttle control lever and 3pt lift controls are on right side console now. The floor has like 2" of foam which is very comfortable for your feet. The Air ride seat and all the adjustments are huge improvements as well. I added the buddy seat and is plenty big for a small to average size person. The hvac is upgraded with new controls and relocation of the vents to the steering column so they blow right on you. Another dumb move here though the temperature is in Celsius instead of Fahrenheit. The new window in the roof is great for additional light and to see your loader when fully raised. Lots of changes on the exterior as well. I went with the R14 tires, time will tell how they compare to the R1 tires had previously. Hoping in the Spring less damage to the ground. Also added the front and rear mud flaps, why? because I think they look cool. On the loader there is integrated storage area in the frame you can pull out to store chains and stuff. The bucket comes from the factory with spots for bolt on hooks which I added. Like the joystick, the loader is already prepped for 3rd function from a hose perspective, so dealer just had to add a few pieces to get 3rd function setup. Around back, they removed the manual lever to raise and lower the 3pt arms. Now there is a button on each fender so this is now all electric, very nice and smooth operation. There is also now a button to turn the pto from the back of the machine to help with alignment. On my previous unit this wasn't a big deal because if the pto was in neutral you could just turn it for alignment. I didn't test, but I am guessing on the new machine the pto may not turn freely even when in neutral thus why there is a button now. There is also space for 4 rear remotes, I will have three, one with a detent. On the top of the cab in the back there is a little panel which looks like it is designed for a camera. I even found a fuse spot for "rear camera". So I'm guessing eventually they will have a factory camera option. I already have one purchased and will be installing, I will be most likely using this spot and wiring if I can. All lights are now LED and are very bright and will be great in low light and dark conditions. I drove and used the loader just for a bit. There is a big difference with the transmission. It seems to be much smoother and responsive compared to my 20 series. The loader also seemed much smoother and quicker. I don't think there was any technical difference in flow rate, but it does seem much improved. Now for the WTF is Kioti thinking. They added a beeper when in reverse, BUT they also added a beeper when changing gears. Yelp, going from first to fourth gears when you press the clutch pedal or the clutch button you get a beep until the gear change is done and release the clutch. Super annoying. The winter is my slow time of the year for using my tractor, so wont get a lot of hours until the Spring but looking forward to it. Will provide some picture of backup camera install once complete. Enjoy the pics.
Howdy. I just test drove the 7340 today and was really impressed, but had a ton of noise. Now that I'm reading more on it I see many complaining of the noise and few saying very underpowered. How has your experience with it been? I read a few places that of all the simple stuff, they put the wrong hydraulic fluid dipstick in them and they read full when they're 3 gallons low and I guess it could be causing all of these issues. I am so close to pulling the trigger on this, but now I'm having some very serious second thoughts. Do you mind sharing how it's been going for you?

I remember finding mine quite noisy, due to the straight-cut gears I believe. The dealer offered to install some sort of sound deadening material under the floor mat, which I declined as it would more than likely have caused the floor mat to not sit properly.

I'm used to it now, and was doing some slashing (bush hogging/mowing/rotary cutting, etc) this morning, and with noise-cancelling Bluetooth headphones in the cabin, even delicate classical music is quite listenable. Although today it was country day, so Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson et al ruled the day! 🪕

I am very happy with my 7340. The only noise issue I have is the gear shifter has a harmonic vibration issue that adds a few dBs that doesn't need to be. I feel it has the same power as my 7320 did. I find the hydraulics a lot faster on the 7340. I went with the R14 tires and am really happy with the cross of the Industrial/AG capability they provide. I too saw the post about the guy reporting a transmission failure and he thinking it is because of the dip stick; don't think that has been proven. I did change my fluid the other day. It drained out a little over 10 gallons from the pan and filters. I put in a full 10 gallons and the dip stick shows full with bucket on the ground. The book says 11.75 gallons needed, but I don't know if that is if the tractor is completely empty (meaning cylinders and hoses empty). I did notice that if the loader is up 4-5 feet, the dip stick will not show any fluid, thus level is below the dip stick. Don't know if this is expected or not. I did struggle to find the Kioti fluid and my dealer says it is currently backordered. The 5-gallon buckets I drove 4 hours to get, did say it is compatible with the JD J20D fluid, so will probably just use that going forward as it is easy to come by. Am having a small argument with my dealer over the fluid as they keep pushing this New Holland fluid, but from what I can tell, it isn't low viscosity like the book say the 7340 uses. The beeper is super annoying (goes on when shifting gears and in reverse). When I bought my tractor, I wasn't made aware of the extended warranty option, and my dealer says I can't add it after the fact. So not real happy about that. I do feel the AC is a little weak. The cab is so much bigger than the 7320 and I feel it has trouble keeping up. It is never hot inside the cab, and the AC is blowing cold air, just the cubic feet of the cab and all the windows I feel is just a little too much for it. I am thinking about getting tint on the windows. I have for now taken the buddy seat out. It does block the entering and exiting of the cab a little bit too much for how little I use it. The OEM hydraulic top-link is a little bit on the short side. I haven't had a problem hooking anything up, but others have. I really like the electronic 3-pt. The precision it provides and the buttons on the fenders is so nice. I haven't found a use for the pto button on the fenders, and it doesn't really "bump", it turns a bunch. Better to just have the pto in neutral and turn by hand. This is my 3rd Kioti and is almost a year old (have 90 hours). I have had no problems with this tractor other than the annoyances mentioned above. At the 1-year mark on my NX6010 and RX7320 I had already had at least one issue requiring dealer service. I would go with a dealer that is all-in with Kioti, not someone who just has them to fill out their line.
Thanks

Thank you! Any issues with underpower/feeling like it's struggling with implements up up hills? Have you heard anything about the hydraulic fluid level reading full on the stick when it's actually a couple gallons low?

I'm pretty sure you're not the same Craig I'm talking to on FB. He's having a real hard time with his. Says the noise in unbearable, but big problem is it's terribly underpowered. I'm asking him about the hydraulic fluid thing. Some say they sent them with the wrong dipstick and it reads full when it's really up to 3 gallons low. I could see that alone causing all the problems he describes.
Seems like most are happy with it, but many complain about the noise and at least a few have had the under power issue.

My entire property is hills. I pull a 14' bat wing finish mower and it handles it just fine. I find no issues with power. The only thing I have seen with low hydraulic fluid is what I mentioned above about my reading with the loader up and what I have read on the Facebook Kioti group. Like mentioned, I drained 10 gallons and added 10 gallons and the dip stick shows full. So don't see how it could be multiple gallons low. It does take less fluid than the 7320 did according to the book. The 7320 took 15 gallons. Maybe that is why people are thinking it is a couple/few gallons off because they are comparing to what it used to take.

That answers the power question. Thank you. The people complaining of power issues say they can't even get the PTO running on a big cutter and can't pull even a slight grade. I kind of think there's a hydraulic line open somewhere, but I'm no mechanic.
The whole thing on the fluid was that one guy said that his dealer told him that Kioti shipped some of these, at least, with the wrong dipstick that read full when it was 3 gallons low. It's too long and they're shipping a shorter dipstick. A 5 gallon difference between the 20 and 40 seems very odd.
I am so close to pulling the trigger on this machine then this stuff got me spooked.

Joe, mine's an RX8030, so the engine is around 76hp, and no problems at all with the power. I stepped up to the Kioti from a 47hp LG (now LS) which struggled with the 6' slasher on uphills, and in long thick grass. But the 8030 just eats those conditions.

The aircon is plenty big enough in cold air output for our hot Queensland summers too.

The only dealer/warranty issues I've had in the five years since I bought it:
(1) Engine computer (ECU) developed an issue, but was replaced no problem;
(2) The left-hand fuel tank developed a leak along part of the seam, and again, replaced quickly under warranty;
(3) The air conditioner's cold output became erratic earlier this year (which I've posted here about) and the issue was the seal around the top of the cabin frame had not been installed correctly, was letting ambient dust-laden air into the under-roof cavity where the AC evaporator is, and it totally clogged up with junk. Again, even though out-of-warranty, I was fully reimbursed for the bill from the HVAC/electrician who came out to sort it out.

And this is the first time I've heard about any hydraulic fluid dipstick issues.

So all-in-all, totally happy with this Kioti!

Thank you. I appreciate your insights. It seems like these problems that I'm hearing about are specific to the 7340.
