Rusty Fuel Tank, FT 535

Sent the noisy injector pump to the hospital, and the diagnosis is: rust coming from the tank(diesel). It is surprising to me that rust can squeak through the dual water filters, but the pump man advised bringing the injectors to him for testing also. So now I need to dismount the tank for cleaning.
I remember the glass sediment bowls on gas tractors that trapped dirt and rust, but I guess they have no place in the recirculating diesel system.

Anybody ever hear of a plastic tank for Farmtrac? Any other suggestions?

Don't know about Farm Trac, but my TIG guy at the trailer shop can make any size/style tank from aluminum in the world. Makes them for all our trailers (diesel generators). I'd say take the tank to a good TIG man and go aluminum.
