RTZ 50 Cutting Height Handle spring

Anyone got a pic of where this spring connects to? If won't stay on the correct cutting height and jumps to the lowest setting. Spring came off and is hanging from the handle, but I don't know where it is suppose to connect to. Thanks....

Torsion spring on mine with a short hook at the top and hook on a long 'tail' coming off the coil at the bottom. First pic from the front shows a rectangle with the handle's end poking up thru a thin nylon bush. Reaching from the side I can feel if not see how the top hook tucks in somewhere just under where the shaft/bush comes thru' the rectangular piece.

Second pic from the side shows the 'tail' along the horizontal portion of the handle and tip of the hook where it wraps around. Hook at the top may have snapped off or popped out of its recess, should be felt coming off the top coil if its just unseated. Bottom hook can be seen better. IIRC my RZT 50 is an '06. Yours look the same?

Well Grind no such luck. Top portion of spring broke off. Nothing a bungee cord can't fix.

That's what happened to my RZT50 - fortunately it was still under the 50 hour warranty at the time (barely) - I bought the part, read the directions, put the part back in the box and hauled it to the shop and let THEM remove the 47.5 items it took to get at the dang thing.

Knock on wood, it hasn't broken again or I'll probably be lookin' at the bungee fix too... Steve
