Looks pretty nice. How's the shifting? Do you really have to yank it out or does it just kinds slide nice and easy? That's my biggest complaint. Mine has to be jammed in or yanked out.

The main tranny shifting is fine..Had a few issues getting it out of 4wd..

I just gas it a little, and let off if the range lever if it get's stubborn..No different than the 500 acted.

I don't know how his has been, but that was a problem I had with the RTV900 but not the RTV1100. Here's where I posted about the RTV having problems getting stuck in gear almost 6 years ago. http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/atvs-utility-vehicles/38365-rtv-hill.html If they haven't fixed the problem by now, it isn't going to get fixed IMHO.

On our 900's the tranny will bind up on really bad. If you keep giving it gas as you apply massive pressure on the shifter they normally will then shift. The 1100's have a knob you can pull to release pressure in the transmission this is great because when plowing you bind up the tranny a lot. When we are plowing if you have a rider the rider pulls the knob so the driver can shift and raise the plow / turn off the spreader at the same time. Shifting out of 4wd well it is just like the 900 sometimes easy and sometimes you have to accelerate. I have not had any troubles shifting into 4wd. On a side note, the bump on the shifting gate to make it more difficult to shift into reverse has worn out on our 900's because of snowplowing. Our plows are all standard plows no commercial plows. They are built strong enough no need for a commercial plow.

Well... I was able to take my daughter out for some rides tonight and last night in downpours. Could never do that before.

Right now she has casts up to both knees and can barely get around, but when I asked her if she wanted to go for a ride...I got the biggest smile you can imagine, and she motored herself to the back door.

Sometimes the cost of stuff just doesn't matter...This is one of them.

TIMSWI your one heck of a great Father. Made me feel very happy for your Daughter that she enjoys that 1100. You are so right about the cost of the RTV $20,000.......smile on your Daughters face after surgery with cast on both legs.......PRICELESS.......Know we are all pulling for her and wish her a speedy recovery...God Bless my friend.
P.S. I beleive you just might have sold me on the 1100 with the rain story!

Thanks for the wishes 737..I'm not a great father, but I try. She's slowly getting more mobile which is nice to see. First day back at school today, and going to some of the different rooms completely wore her out. So, they're going to move her around in a wheelchair while at school to make life a little easier for the next month.

If you look around, there may be some 09 leftovers. That's what mine is. I paid a little over 19K with the snow plow, bed liner and front/ rear work lights. I think the base machine was in the 16's. 0% financing really makes it tempting.

Take one for a ride, I think you'll like it...This thing is a TANK.

Mine doesn't have the release knob, at least one that I can see. Is that an option?

No, the newer ones have the release integrated into the brake pedal now, would like to get the cable and bracket to upgrade mine as if it binds you have to hit brake, pull release and shift at same time.

Thanks for that info..Was wondering.

Took the plow off today...Not as easy as the 500 was, but not too bad. The 2 rear subframe bolts are kind fun to remove. 1ft extension and a universal joiunt on an air rachet...Couldn't a straight shot be built in?...

That would be nice to have. If someone is riding shotgun then they pull the knob to release the tranny so that the driver can shift and lift the blade at the same time. When you are driving it on own than you wish for a third hand.
