So I have installed the hand throttle, and like it, the torque is "right there" when you are climbing, that's good stuff. No more stomp and release on the pedal to get over a hump.

Anyone take off the "coast" mechanism or have a way to adjust it?

I would like to try life without any of the coast if possible. Love the RTV but don't really care for the way it keeps powering when the accelerator is released. This seems exaggerated with the hand throttle. I suspect that it will be a bit jerky at first with no damper, but I think I'll like it better if the power to the wheels starts and stops when my foot goes up&down rather than being on a 5 second delay.

FWIW I have the "second" version of the coaster, first one was too slow. 2005.

I don't have any info on the coast mech for the rtv.
RTV owners are frequent posters and normally have allot to say.
Maybe they can offer some useful info to help you.
