Has anyone here owned or operated a RT400 or FTX440.Your thoughts good, bad or indifferent would be much appreciated

there big and powerful. pto driven there heavy with not alot of ground clearance ,you cant raise the head up so its hard to handle big trees in row situation.

Lift height may be a concern. The 350 looks like a better set up to me since it has lift arms.

I know one guy around me running a 440, Don't hear alot from him so it must be doing it's job. If it was not you would sure hear about it. The had a Bron and had ton's of trouble and switched to the 440.
Now the 350, that's the perfect balance and, well, it's my choice.

There's a few of them in Alberta they seem to be working quite a bit , Pto drive heavy like a tank. Cheap as borscht at the auctions.

The reason I'm looking at a PTO machine is the hyd overheating issues that can occur on larger gear in hot climates, apparently!!!!!!!!

The FTX440 had some challenges in its infancy that have been worked through. The clutch and PTO shaft have been upgraded as well as the AC unit. It is a very dependable and productive machine. The latest comments from our most recent purchasers are "It's a mulching monster!" and "I've run big machines for years but this one puts the others to shame"
I am am Fecon rep but I can pass along the names and numbers of these customers privately who have stated that they would be glad to give a glaring testimonial (as long as it is not to a competitor of theirs)
