Rounded off drain plug

I recall he mentioned he was in no hurry and cold weather wasn't his friend... so I imagine we won't hear from him for some time. The more curious question is just how long can you go 'not' replying to this 'should be left for dead' thread? . Maybe the silence will guilt kando into replying?

That didn't stop the "Pallets in Field" thread. (No guilt from sparc at all)

Not true! You can be there looking at the thing, have all the knowledge, tools and time....but if one doesn't want to go any further you, us, no one can make anything happen. The posters want the results greater than the OP, so it's just entertainment!!

I am glad this thread has lived!

I bought a set of those Knipex pliers and I must say, WOW! I was calling BS on the person that suggested them to get the plug out... I believe they would in fact get that plug out!

So we have not . Otherwise the plug would be out. I think he is particular. We have come up with ways to do it, but not a way for him to do it.

Well there are a few on here gnashing their teeth and wringing their hands as to why the plug is not reported as removed. Maybe ol Kando had a better method and it is removed. Or maybe he just had a good laugh at how some of us carry on. :confused3:

Really? I've been (mentally) pronouncing as caan-doh (or 'dough')... just like you'd pronounce "Cammo" or "Ammo".

When I first joined TBN two years ago I did not look close enough and thought dragoneggs was dragon-legs. Both are memorable names.

If you lock them in a certified gun-case.

Except Kando(oo) has already tried that most ancient of tools (the pipe-wrench) and, not only did it not work, it was the main cause of the drain plug being rounded.

1) 50 ton bottle jack under plug
2) that will push plug up into case
3) drill and tap hole next size larger
4) fish old plug out larger hole with magnet
If no work...change name kando to nocando
