Round bales with CK27 HST

Anyone used a 3 pt hay spear to move round bales?

I know I have 1800 lbs on the lift, but I am also concerned about how the tractor handles.

Given the dry weather we have had in Central Texas, the wife is considering getting a load of round bales for the horses and moving them into the field 1 by 1.

Of course, this is also an excuse for me to buy a new attachment. She did not react to my offer to get her a hay spear fro Christmas.

I assume you are talking about the 3ph. I have a CK30 and I do move round bales but "barely" with the loader if they are large. The 3ph is good with a solid spear rig.

Here are some pics of bales that were about 900 to 1000 lbs in our estimation.

Note: Be careful, this is really the limit for this size tractor.

Note 2: If she did not react to me that is a GO BOY GO!

Messed up the attachments, here are the other pics. The bales I buy are usually smaller than these and are no problem to move and stack 2 high. I could stack these 2 high but just barely.
