In years gone by, I've bought and re-sold a couple AC RotoBalers. Same with several NH round balers. I've spent enough time with my head stuck inside either, doing repairs, to say without pause, there is NOTHING that would indicate one being based on the other.....NOTHING.
Your "source" needs to be looked at very carefully (and avoided in the future) He's told you something that is absolutely NOT true in any aspect. The ONLY similarity between NH rounds and old AC round balers is the fact they both drop a round bale . Beyond that, there is essentially NOTHING the same regarding design or operation. Repeating bogus unfounded claims found on the internet will get you in trouble. Stick with what you can verify BASED ON YOUR OWN KNOWLEDGE and avoid baseless rumors from people who obviously don't know what they're talking about.
Hanging out on websites that permit (and promote) brand bashing which isn't even fact based will get the un-informed in deep trouble when you start believing what they say enough so that you start to repeat their disinformation.
Round balers as we know them today are more closely related to the designs and theory of the Vermeer round baler, yet different enough to avoid patent infringement during the years when Vermeer still held patents on his design. The design (and ensuing patents) on the AC RotoBaler came and went YEARS before Vermeer marketed the first commercially successful large round baler.
