One thing I have seen, and thought 'that's clever', was ropes over the top with 5 gallon plastic containers of water on each end. Easy to adjust and cheap, and very effective. That was holding the cover on a large silage stack and had stood up to massive winds.

Around here they will do the same thing with old tires. The either use them tied just at the ends like the bucket idea or tied together in a row that fits over the stack.

Looks like I'm not gonna have to worry too much longer about stacking lol, my stack is disappearing
