Round bale feeding tractor

My dad is getting up there in age and it's hard for him to climb up on the JD 4020 to feed cows round bales. What would be a good tractor with loader for ease of getting on and can handle 1500 pound bales? Other chores would be handled by bigger tractors. Open station. Used about 10 years old. Deere or Kubota only. The other dealers here are terrible.

G'day do yhou load the bales into feeders in the paddocks or do you run the hay out? If you run the hay out what about one of the self loading bale feeders that you can tow behind a pickup?

Hay gets dropped into a hay ring in the field.

What about some aftermarket steps to make getting on the 4020 easier?
Just google jd4020 steps, a few possibilities come up immediately.

G'day Mate. I have had no problem whatsoever with my JD 4105 handling bales of that weight. 300CX FEL. Cat 1

It's a bare-bones tractor and very much in production.

Friend of mine had an L4310 and westendorf loader, would easily handle such a task. Nice thing about it is the hydrostatic trans, but if your father is used to gear drive, he (like me) might be reluctant to accept the hst at first.
