The OP later explained it was two 28' sides and one 14' side. That's 70' of 48" foundation, plus 392 square feet of slab.

I had quotes for 96' of 48" foundation and 576 square feet of slab for $8K.

What did I miss?

Yes and the difference in the cost from city to city, county to county, state to state, etc. If OP was in Indiana in your general area sure. We could be talking double or even more depending on location. That same slab you describe would likely be $20k where I am. How can we be sure costs in your area are anywhere near the same as costs in Maine?

I do understand the OP is asking and we are answering which is of course what this forum is about. I guess my point to the OP is this is a waste of time. Go get more quotes...but yes just another opinion for the OP to consider.
