just wondering if the deck height fell into the regular bush hog depth or that of a finish mower. regardless, you have a fine mower. do take care eventually removing blades for service, etc, always block the unit. i never crawl under the deck w/a grinder, recommend removing, clamp, & dress w/angle grinder, regards
& for tall stuff, i like to make 2 passes, one high, then low

I have a 40x60 shop being constructed as we speak. I have an Atlas 14k pound vehicle lift being installed... so, I "should" be able to maitain everytihing farily easily. I'm pretty excited about my shop... but, the weather has pushed everything to the right. Humph.

Ok Everyone… I finally got around to installing the front / rear chain guards on my Tractor Supply/County Line rotary mower.

I ordered these directly from Tarter, because Tarter makes them for TSC under the County Line brand name.

My unit is a 6’ rotary cutter, and Tarter confirmed that it is a 200 series. The chain guards are for the 300 series.

The front fit perfectly with zero modification. The rear did not.

I had to take out the lower bolt for the tail wheel brace, use clamps to hold the chain guard up, drill 3 of the 4 bolt holes and install. I also had to grind a little on the far corners to allow the outside most chain link to clear.

Not a bad job with a little bit of patience.

Now I feel a bit safer!

Cheers!
