SBD, What mower is that? Looks a lot like mine but mine is more HD with channel boxed in by the deck in place of angle. Otherwise looks like it was made from the same plans.
I banged into too many small trees trying to back over them and really messed up my chain arrangement. I too need to redo the chains on the mower. Thanks for the motivation guys, maybe it will get me off of top dead center. Mowing without chains is really dangerous. I read the accident/incident report on a guy killed by a mower at an airbase when I was in the service. Guy was walking along a sidewalk not particularly close to the tractor and keeled over dead. Autopsy showed a small piece of wire embedded in his brain next to his temple. Only reasonable explanation was the nearby tractor with mower. I had a rock hit my windshield post when it was thrown by a mower on the base even though the mower had chains.
