Thanks for the great information on this forum. BobRip describes a tipping incident on his 422 - but where or how do you get ROPS for a 422 and how much does it cost? - I'm still not completely decided on which model to buy, other than it has to at least accept the Mini-Hoe because of the mini-hoe's rave reviews on this forum. Thanks.

You order it from the factory, when you order the tractor. I understand it is a $500 option.

Unless I'm mistaken, in addition to the 3 extra HP, the 425 gives you 6" extra lift height, more torque from the wheel motors (important if you'll be working on slopes), two steering cylinders instead of one, and the ROPS is standard...

Kinda helps explain the price difference...

I had mine added at the factory when I purchased it. I believe it is just a bolt on option. It cost about $500 in 2000. I say go with the 425, the wheel motor torque and ROPs easily justify it.
