ROPER Snowthrower attachment ?

So, a friend calls me tonight and says that he's helping a guy install a 842.240726 snowthrower attachment on a Sears 917.273061 tractor....but it looks like it's "missing some parts" (I think he bought it at a garage sale) and of course, if the snowthrower says Sears, then it should fit on ANY tractor that says Sears....isn't that right? LOL:laughing:
I think the 842 .240726 was manufactured by ROPER......I've looked in the Sears site for an owners manual and have searched the net but haven't found anything.
Anyone out there have any leads on finding a manual for the snowthrower attachment.

go to the sears website, under service/parts,
put in that number without the decimal point,
842240726
it brought up a snowblower attachment schematic
when i did it,,

Thanks for helping out. I went to sears.com and the only thing I could find was the PartsDirect link. I tried entering it without the period, but it still came up nothing available.
Can you attach the link?
Thanks very much. also, I've found out that the prefix means that it is a Haban, not Roper.
