Think thats over kill? Look at this hitch ring I got, You could hang a Mack truck from it! It might be hard to tell by the size by the pic, but it has a 1.5" shank.

Here's the roller almost done, just one more hole to fill.

Last autumn we rented a 3 meter wide, 80cm diameter roll, filled 2/3 with water. Adds up to about 2.5 ton

Pulling it from the contractors yard, through the forest road to our field, was easy as long as it ran on its wheels: As soon as the wheels ran so deep in the log truck ruts that the roll itself touched the mud, i had to shift down to 3rd 4wd to keep on going...
In the field the same thing: pulling is easy, untill you hit a soft spot: squeezing the mud out in front of the roll consumes a lot of power. Dragging it on its 10-15 tires making 2 inch ruts in exactly the same spot, takes less power.

Yeah, pretty much. Over 20 acres I probably only have a 8' "hill".
