Terry, I know it's possible, but is it feasible to build something similar to what you used on your welding table maybe?? Something that can easily be raised onto the wheels for moving and settled back down on the pedestal for use?

Absolutely. For a heavy table either a pallet jack or a formed pocket to accommodate a heavy duty hand truck would work for lifting the “other “end.

One of those trailer mover dollies would work too. Just mount a hitch on one end or a formed pocket of some sort for the ball to lift.

We had two Target stores come to Victoria a while back. They both closed after two years. I tried to purchase one of the electric shopping cart movers but the local grocery chain guys wanted them more than I did.

I've rejected this idea in the past, partly because of a lack of swivel pads on the bottoms. It just occurred to me that the pads would be provided and time saved by cutting up cheap clamps to instead of using all-thread and connectors.

I hadn't thought about putting casters on the threaded rods.

I'm envious at the order and space in some peoples shops. I'm taking advantage of the nice weather and working on stuff outside, because there's no room inside!
