Any tips on setting a new coil in the 22hp Robin? If I recall from the manual the clearance is roughly .012 - .020. Is it as simple as setting a feeler gauge down on the flywheel and setting the coil on that and tightening down?

Also, any tips on reinstalling the motor? What's the easiest way to line up pumps with the lovejoy couplers?

On the coil gap I suggest having two sets of feeler gauges. It made it a lot easier to keep the gap even. So put one set of gauges near each end of the coil.

I don't know if it has points and condenser, but if it does, I'd put them in new as well.

Exactly what I did! Really wasn't a bad job at all.

No points or condenser I am pretty sure.

Yep, what he said. I'm no mechanic but wasn't too bad to install...and what a difference it made for me.
