My neighbor just bought a John Deere 3320 and has a seat that has about 4-6 inches of travel. I asked and he said he didnt think it was standard equipment. My Mahindra 2816 has little 1 inch springs, and if you hit a hole just right its plain rough. "make your head hurt" I know its not a cadillac or anything but just wondering if buying a seat setup like his is worth while. My property is not very smooth and I like to run in high gear down my roads. Just wanted some of your opinions and experiences with your "ride quality". BTW, I have water in my rear tires. This may be making it worse.

Thanks,

Jonathan

I have a '92 JD770 and when I tried it out one of the first things I mentioned was that it gives a nice ride.

Under the seat is 2 heavy duty springs approx. 2" in diameter by 6" or 8" high.

I was impressed right from the get go. Very comfortable.

WHY not Smooth it up a little with the tractor.

To add taller springs in the rear would pitch the seat in a down hill lean towards the front. You should look at other seat assemblies that might improve the ride as long as they are the right height for the operators. I don't know where you are located but there are many options for purchasing them.

He probably has the optional deluxe air ride seat...it truly is a thing of beauty!
