Reseachable question about fabrication

Out of the ordanary but I need some help.
For my high school I have to do a senior project. Topic is fabrication and will be building a go cart/buggy. But I need a question that I can research and have a few good sources and few pages worth of work.
Does anyone know a good question somewhat related to fabracation?

Out of curiosity I just typed the word fabrication into Google; got 420 MILLION hits, should be a few of those that could help. Been doing fab of one sort or another for nearly 60 of my 73 years, and doubt if I'd live long enough to type all the questions I STILL have... Steve

What is the best material to fabricate the frame out of that is both light weight and affordable?

OR

What are the advantages of using mild steel vice chrome molly to fabricate the frame?

What are the advantages of using a torque converter over direct gear drive? (or vice/versa)

Maybe a bit more specific would help.

I'm trying to figure out, is the project writing about fabrication of a go cart or actually building one?
Go cart fabrication could range from bamboo and string all the way to a titanium CAD design.

How about answering a question about propulsion? Possibly electric-"How many watts does it take to move a 300 pound vehicle (150 for cart and 150 for driver) at a given speed over distance?. Do the research on how much it takes to propel electric cars. Then propose how much wattage the cart would use. Find out how close you can come to proportional wattage to the heavier cars.
