I have a 2014 xr3037h, and I need to replace 2 hydraulic lines. One end is mounted way inside the firewall. How do you get to them? I I thought maybe I would pull the hood tomorrow, and see if that’s possible. Anyone else done this and have advice? Thanks in advance.

Thanks. I’ll take the hood off.

I completed the job a couple of days ago. It was not a fun project. Lots of minor hand cuts and scrapes.

They are power steering lines. Out of the 4 connections, there is only 1 that is easy to get at. The two on the firewall were really recessed in there. Took the hood, hood bracket, and some other minor stuff to get at them. Then we heated and bent some wrenches to get in there. Only problem was, once you bent the wrenches, you couldn’t get enough torque to break them loose. Finally we were able to get the open ends on partly. We then with a pipe on the end , we’re able to get them. If there was a way for the mfg to mount that male connection in the firewall out a bit, it would be a lot easier. I even called a technician at a LS dealer, and he said there is no easy way.
