Replacement seat

Got a new seat for my L2900 (late 90s) for Xmas.The Kubota guy told my wife it was a generic replacement type, and SHOULD fit. The original seat bottom has 4 threaded holes lining up with the holes on the hinges on the seat base. The new seat base has lots of threaded holes all over the places, but only TWO holes match my hinges. So basically, instead of 4 bolts holding the seat on the hinges - I would only have TWO bolts securing it in place. If the attached pics work - the first is the original - the second is the new seat with the matching holes indicated in green. Would two bolts be sufficient instead of the four original ones?
Has anybody done this - or care to offer an opinion?

Those original four look close together. Not sure the two would have that much less holding power. Don't forget, YOU are holding it down too. :laughing:

That's a thoughtful wife. Sure beats a gift card.

If it does pose a problem, a simple plate to match the hinge and new seat should work. You could then put as many bolts as you want in the seat.
