I have an ancient Servis 6 way rear blade that was badly abused in a former life. The blade was badly bent and badly welded back together. I can fix the blade with a bit of cutting and welding. But, the cutting edge is broke in half. I need to find a serviceable replacement that is budget conscious.

Agrisupply has a blade that might work for $150, but shipping is $170!!!!!.

The cutting edge is 72 wide, 5" high and not reversible. The bolts are 1 ft on center except the ends have double bolts 3" on center. The bolt holes are 1 1/2" from the top edge. The agrisupply blade is 6" and reversible, so I'd have to double check if I can drill new holes.

I only have $150 in the whole thing. I bought it to cut one ditch and that was finished as couple of years ago, so the blade owes me nothing. If I use it lightly, I can use it in its current condition. It would be nice though to get it in better shape.

Any ideas on a replacement cutting edge?

My BIL was district supervisor for the county highway dept. He got me a brand new road grader blade. Ten feet wide - six inches high - one and a half inches thick at the back. It took me two days to cut it down to 96". All I have is a hack saw. And another day to drill the holes to bolt it on my rear blade.

I used my hydraulic floor jack to raise it up - to align the bolt holes. I laid it on my bathroom scales - 253 pounds.

Anyhow - you might want to check with your county highway dept. See what their discarded road grader blades look like and what they do with them.

you may give EA a call, they must make replacements for their stuff, and the bolt pattern sounds like its the same as the land shark series stuff.

i think it's same pattern as my bison as well, but mine is reversible.

i bet if you know any local machine shops, that you can just order a hardox flat bar and have them water jet the square holes for carriage bolts. Would be a super easy job for them.

Check with Rhino. They were at one time called Servis
