Replace 1626 Light Switch

My Great Pyrenees pup got into my garage where I house my tractor and destroyed (chewing) the light switch on my Mahindra 1626 HST. I bought a replacement switch and attempted to remove the old one. What initially looked like an easy job has me stumped in how to get to the electrical connector to remove it. There’s very little free movement in the wiring harness to bring the connector close enough to the switch opening to let me disconnect it and replace it with the new switch. I would appreciate advice on how to do this. Thanks.

I was able to figure this out. While it would have been much easier to have had smaller hands I removed the 2 black Phillips screws underneath the bottom of the steering wheel boot and lift the top gray plastic housing containing the instrument cluster enough to get my hand inside once I removed the rubber access boot held in place by the upper and lower gray plastic housings.

Same here, but I can’t say that now .
