Removing thorn bushes - looking for suggestions

/ Removing thorn bushes - looking for suggestions #51
Just picked up a ratchet rake and waiting for better weather to give it a try...lots of mature thorn bushes to remove.

Any suggestions on how to use the RR?

It's the most intuitive implement you'll find. Consider it just like your own fingers - but with steel strength. Ram into the bushes with the big teeth forward, then angle down some and use it to pull the bushes back. I've cleared a quarter acre of shrubs and berries in just a few minutes, and gotten all of the trash into a pile. Experiment with the angle of the bucket going both directions - and you can use the rake on the exposed bare ground to prepare for seeding.

The video is interesting, but it's more fun to just learn by doing. Enjoy.

Just set the RR on my bucket for the first time. I have the larger RR model and it's a bit too big for my 60" bucket.
I purchased it used and thought that the larger size teeth and additional mass would be to my advantage.

Looks as if one of the upper supports will need to be cut off and welded back on a few inches closer to the opposite support.
And, a few inches cut off that same side and we will be good to go.
