Remotes on a Hydro GT?

As you may have gathered, I just picked up this old MF12. I got it as an accessory to a diesel CUT that I already have. One thing I'd love to do is build a dump trailer for the GT that I can fill with the loader on my CUT. This means I need a remote hydraulic for the dump. I already have some spare cylinders.

I wondered if anyone has ever tried to split the power to the hydro tranny on one of these hydrostatic drive tractors to run a hydraulic remote.

Can this be done? Is it a bad idea?

The problem will probably be having enough hydraulic fluid that when the cylinder is extended there is still enough for the hydro tranny. I know that there are tractors that have what you describe, no idea if it will work on your particular one though

You might consider using electric-over-hydraulic unit (like snowplow ones) mounted to the trailer. Then maybe hook an automotive alternator to your MF to supply the juice.

Another idea is a manual pump like this:
