little off the subject, but I was in the sawshop the other day and they had a splitter in there that was electric. I kind of laughed to myself and asked what is that good for. He plugged it in and did a cycle, it was one way. When you hit the lever it splits the kindling, when you let go, a spring pulls the ram back. I say kindling because I know it would not do any harm to wood I split.
