Yanmar YT347
Just curious how many ReGens your YT has gone through since you bought it. My YT347 has gone though three so far which seems to many for the hours I have on it. First was at 30, second at 60 and the last at 69. Maybe Yanmar can chime in as to why it already had 3 ReGens.

I have 31 hours on my Yanmar YT347 and I haven't done a regen yet. I try to limit my idling time to a bare minimum. Idling isn't good for any engine, let a lot one with a DPF. Do you do a lot of idling ?

That may have something to do with it. We have been pounding t-posts in and letting it idle.

I am at around 122 hours now and have done first haylage harvest, which is mowing, baling, wrapping & some misc chores and gone through 3 regens. One of them was almost an hour long!

Had my first regen at around 40 hours. I took around 15 - 20 minutes. Luckily I was getting ready to bush hog a pretty decent size waterway so I just kept using the tractor as normal. The only thing I wasn't too keen on was not being able to move the dial to set the engine speed or RPM's. Luckily I already had it set to bush hog but I didn't have it set correctly for my trip over there.

I have gone through at least three re-generation cycles, possibly four on my YT359C, with the last occurring at about 260 hours. I'm not sure what the best way to manage this is, but per the manual, I don't let the machine idle. When I start it, I bring it right up to between 1200 and 1500 RPM until it warms, then work it. I shut it off instead of idling and for short periods, if I need to leave it on, it stays at 1200 to 1500 RPM.

At what RPM does the YT347 idle and regen at?

I'm mostly interested in the YT347 because it has the same 4TNV88 engine/block as my LX.

Mine just regened again at 80 hrs. We minimized idling since the last one. This will be the 4th one. We have the idle set around 1200.

Starting to get tired of my YT347 doing re-gens every 10 hours. I tried all different scenarios. Running high rpm (2200) while running it and during idle. Between the last re-gen and this re-gen I tried never to let the machine idle; always turned it off. Still re-gen'd

@david I think you have something wrong, I have 200 hours on my 359 and only had it Regen once so far. I only run farm / off road diesel in it.

Based on my experience regenerations every 10 hours sounds too frequent. I am at 120 hours and have had only one regeneration cycle. I turn it off rather than idling it, but I don稚 keep the throttle too high unless I am running to PTO.

What type of diesel are you running in it? The normal road/biodiesel or farm/off-road?

I've been told the only difference is dye added to non-taxed fuel.

In Oregon that isn't true, also changes the amount of biodiesel in the mix, namely less of it. The stuff I run is under 5‰ vs the Road stuff is 15 to 20.

I didn't know that. Thanks for the clarity!!!

In Missouri it's just color.

I have around 170 hours on my tractor and it has done three regens. I unfortunately do let it idle some, not a lot though. I run highway diesel too, I don't burn enough fuel in a year to have farm diesel delivered. Have you contacted Yanmar or your dealer ?
