OK , this probably falls under "there are better methods" and "don't try this at home" but, I thought it was interesting and I did not know it was possible.

That looked like they had practiced a bit, I noticed that she did not let the clutch out until the strap was completely unwound from the slip clutch.

Just seeing a woman in the seat makes me nervous.
Never met one that could operate safely.
I'm sure that they are out there.....just not lucky enough to cross paths yet.

The tractor has a manual transmission, exactly why cant it be jump started? Don't think I would want to do that, but if your stuck.

I didn't get that either. I think he was trying to say this method could work in the event the loader and blade/cutter were down. I think it is better to just fix the problem. But, we have all been in the situation where we needed the tractor to start ONE more time...

All I can say is foolish. I pride myself on being a redneck (that is a compliment here in Alabama) and I would run the other way if I ever saw someone attempting that.

Many moons ago my dad had a seemingly big Allis Chalmers with the hand crank in front. In the winter in Wisconsin it was very difficult to start.

He took a driveshaft of some sort and made a fitting to hook onto the cranking extension in front. Then he jacked up the rear of the family car and hooked the other end to the rear wheel somehow. He started it that way using the car a few times, but it sure was a lot of work.

Necessity is the mother for red neck inventions.

wouldn't work on my NH without some safeties being disabled.. Mine won't start with the PTO engaged even with the clutch pushed in unless that's just a electric start issue?
