Not far from NC line. About the middle of the VA. Don't hold out on me DT86. What do you know?

Sounds like you're near me (Boydton).

I use an Echo pole saw but it is real hard on the arms.

Not Lazy. I have done that too. I just keep getting hit in the head from the ones that don't break all the way and whip back across the tractor. :banghead: This may be a standard practice, and the way I keep doing it at times.
Thanks for the feedback.

If I have something that doesn't want to come off all the way, I whack it with the bucket a 2nd or 3rd time. I've always been able to get them to come off completely. I usually put the teeth or cutting edge of the bucket on top of the branch and push it down so if it does whip back, it whips up a little. Those that do that I either push down again or push them forward, whichever looks like it will work best for that branch.

Now I still have little crap from the sides that will whip in but with long sleeves and gloves, I tend to stay pretty much in tact.

These forestry clearing saws will cut a lot of stuff and much easier than bending over with a chainsaw.

I have the FS 350 model with a brush/weed blade, chainsaw type blade, and a normal saw kerf blade. They come with a shoulder harness that supports the saw's weight. 2"-3" trees are no problem for mine. I use it to keep walking trails too narrow for the tractor clean. It's my lawn grass whipper too with a string head.

Judging by what the 350 model can do, the 560 would be a serious cutting machine. They are used by forestry crews to thin tree stands and remove unwanted species.

Look at JJ's post on the Forum: Attachments page "Hydraulic Limb Snipper" for a homemade version. Sadly, I don't have a shop, a welder or a skill set adequate to do this kind of fabrication.

rd,
This would be great.
I wonder if there is a similar production model out there, without the really long boom?
