Kubota B2320
If we keep getting hit with now in NJ like we've been, I'm considering adding a rear mount snow thrower to my B2320. Looking on the Kubota web site, they quote the rear mount unit as part # B2789-51 at approx. $2580 w/ manual shoot rotation. I currently have the BH on my tractor, and assume the snow thrower hangs off the 3PT with no dedicated modificaton. If anyone could share any pictures of their unit, experience operating, and price paid I would appreciate it. Thank you.

Sorry no photos but in my area upstate N.Y. RAD 64" rear snow blowers are $ 2700.00.
I have had both front and rear, front on my BX23 was the bomb, beautiful way to move lots of snow. But very expensive, about $5000.00 to $6000.00 and you lose the use of you fel. Go rear and leave on fel, yes Rear blower goes on three point hitch.

I have that exact snow thrower on my B7610. It works great to clear a 600 ft driveway along with the neighbors drive of about the same length. It will pick up 2" and eat it's way through a 3' drift. I've had the tractor for four years, and just got the snow thrower about a month ago.

Mounting is easy enough. Initial install is putting the pins in the right place if they aren't already there, and cutting the PTO shaft to length. It mounts like any normal 3PT implement, pinning to the lift arms and top link. I'll put up a few pics when I get a chance.

If one already has the FEL the sensible thing to so is go with the rear mount blower mounted on the three point, the rear mount is cheaper and usually of heavier construction does the job at least as well and in many cases better than a front mount.

My Buhler Farm King was $1,600.00 new last fall is built heavy and performs well.

North,

Welcome to the site from a fellow Jersey guy, what exit do u live at?

You do not have to buy a rear 3 pt snowblower from Kubota. If you want the front snowblower, then Kubota is the only game in town. Rear 3pt blowers are mfg by many companies. Search this web site for many hours of reading on front and rear snowblowers. Just make sure you also consider a cab with a blower, front or rear, not much fun when the snow comes back at you.

Yankees Fan - I hate to admit it, but I'm a stones throw from Exit 120. Not much land around here, but I've got 2 acres which is just enough room to run this tractor around.

The tractor has a FEL so I plan for a rear mount.

Another Jersey Kubota here, been browsing for rear snowblower as well over the past couple of days. The FEL and RB work great but I am running out of space at this point. I don't know if I want to take a chance on February with how January been.

I know what it's like to get hit in the face with snow. To make way for the tractor I had to part with a Gravely Walk behind w/ snow thrower. I got such a kick throwing snow 20+ feet in the air, over my house.

I get plenty of blowback, but I make sure I am dressed for the occasion. I wear ice fishing gear, but snowmobile or ski apparel would probably work just as well. A balaclava and ski goggles are the key items. I have to admit that the goggles limit peripheral vision which is exacerbated while cranking my head all the way around to see where I'm working behind me. A cab or a front mount snow thrower would be cool, but it's just not in the budget and what I have is still way better than what I used to have. I like the plexiglass idea. I think I might give I a try.

The 60"Buhler/Allied on my was new this fall,so far after 25+ hours it has been completely satisfactory. The design is simple and seems to be very well built. Because I am in Canada 75 miles from the factory my price would not mean much to you.
Due to the 1/2 cab I built an electric chute control.

I'll cast a vote for a Buhler as well.
and I'm not going to give up my FEL for what I have to work around/with here.
also then what would I use to move all those things I never knew I needed a FEL to move.. to damned handy to give up.

Northern 1,
I picked up a Craigs List B2781 with the subframe for $900 last year. The frame wouldn't fit my BX22 but, I got the pieces & now it works just fine on my 3PH & I get to keep my FEL. Ate the 10" of heavy wet snow we got last week for breakfast. :licking:

I went with the Pronovost Lynx 52 and hope to get it in couple of days and I also would not give up the FEL. It was great today with all the ice and slush we had, 40 minutes and was done with 300 foot driveway and parking area.

Bring on the snow. :)

Northern 1,

I have got the Rear kubota on my b2320. I bought it 2 years ago and this is my second season with it. The model is B2789 (51"). I do my driveway and 4 other houses on the street. So far it has been flawless, not even a broken shear bolt ( I always engage the blower in idle). The size is perfect for the b2320, it cleans just a bit more than the width of the tractor. Here some pictures. I paid two years ago 1900.00 cdn during a fall sale. They usually have discount out in the fall. The company building it for kubota is RAD and is from Quebec. You can check their site.

I like to have both a snowblower AND a loader working in tandem when I am moving snow. Presently, I am using a reversed snowblower mounted on the 3PH of my BX24. Reversed or Inverted blowers are not common. However, I find them easier and more pleasant to operate than the conventional 3 point units that stiffen your neck as you back into the snow. The inversed design also has the advantage of doubling as a type of boxblade to scrape the driveway or to pull snow away in tight areas.

The snowblower in the photos is an AgroTrend. I bought it used for $1000. The tire chains provide unbelievable traction under severe winter conditions, and especially on those icy slopes around my home. This particular reversed unit is model # C48PBH. Although this is the smallest model at 48" wide, larger models are also available.

That's the one I have on my 2920. Really well made, but you can probably get an after market brand that's just as good for less money. As for price, I paid $2450 for mine when I bought the tractor, found out later that some TBN members got the same unit for $1700-$1800 . Guess it depends on the time of year when you're buying it. I went rear mount so I could keep the FEL on fort the really deep drifts I get. We're not exactly in the snow belt, but the way my property is arranged I have had snow drifts on the drive as deep as 5', the FEL makes clearing them a little easier.
