Just don't swim in it, right away! Eww...Look forward to pics as you get the lake and sheds in shape for you projects.
Next town we have new 2.5 million dollar houses that barely have land to walk around themWas just looking briefly at the plans for a new subdivision, basic lots are 50x100; deluxe lots are 55x??? maybe 120?. Not for me... but, I will say, I get to some degree why people do want them. Zero maintenance, battery mower, and they are inside or at work.
I occasionally take a day or two off for a longer weekend, or like last weekend there's a holiday; at my weekly one-on-one meet with my boss he asks if I went anywhere and I'm almost always just "nope, stayed at home, it's paradise".... paradise being tending to grapes trees and garden, cutting wood, clearing brush... and he just shakes his head. You're either into it, or you're not.I think this is the trend today. Our neighborhood is larger homes on larger lots, and each time one goes up for sale, I hear younger potential buyers say things like, “nice house, but I don’t want to care for all that land.” Most seem to want 6k ft2 houses on 0.25 acre (11k ft2) lots.
It’s a new world out there especially post pandemic. Not a good time to be a housing provider…How is a tenant who does that able to find another landlord willing to rent to him after he does that?
