UPS stopped in from of my house the guy looked at his tablet went to the back of the truck, came to the front, looked at his tablet, went to the back again, came to the front, looked at his tablet and took off. No change the last notice on tracking is still as it was -"out for delivery".

This was the same time the last entry said it was out for delivery but it was posted 12 hours later. ?????????

And to add one to the plus column - This morning I saw that Amazon put the DeWalt DCL043 (work flashlight) on sale for ~$50.
I really like these, so I ordered another, about 7a.m., it just got delivered at 10:45a.m.

Wow!! You must live really close to a distribution center. My orders generally take several days to even get pulled.

I ordered a cordless circular saw on EBay Sunday evening from a midwestern state... free shipping. UPS says it's on the truck now and should show up tonight.

I am probably wrong, but I only recall Amazon truck guys taking pictures of the delivery and sending.

Does UPS and FedEx do the same? USPS?

Well, my saw which I ordered Sunday came tonight. Like any new ~~toy~~ tool, I had to try it out. My only complaint so far is that there's no light on it, so I had to quit. My drill has one, why can't they put one on the saw?

(Actually I just made one cut to make sure that I had the blade on properly, but that's a pretty boring story.

)

He showed up at 7:00 PM. WTF? I heard him coming so met him at the end of my driveway, trying to save him a little time. He said there was an accident which meant their shipment didn't arrive until after noontime... his boss told him not to do the strays like mine but he did anyways. I need to give him my phone #... there was no reason for him to drive a mile out of his way at that time of night, when I could have met him.

'nother UPS trick; give the parcel to a local cab to deliver when the destination is farther than he likes.

Would anyone be interested in a shipping service that cost Half typical prices, But you had to drive to the nearest town to get (or send) your packages? (Sort of like having a PO Box at the post office but for packages....)
