I am looking to buy a landscape rake primarily to help herd rocks up to softball size into windrows of sorts before harvesting them with FEL. It seems to me that the heaviest rake my tractor will handle would work best for that purpose. Was thinking 7 footer to cover tracks when angled. Does that make sense?? Any suggestions. I have TC40DA with 3-pt lift reportedly about 2000 #.

When I had a 1710 I bought a 8' heavy duty Ford rake for $1400. On a TC40, I'd go 8 feet and around 1000 pounds if you want to move rocks. I drag mine over all sorts of rocks and brush and have bent a few tines, but have not broken any since 1987. These light weight $400 to $500 rakes just don't do much on rocks.

Morning flINTLOCK.
You may want to check York rakes, had mine for 10 plus years and been used in some nasty stuff and still no problem...York rake w/fold down grader blade, yup those York rakes are $$$'s.
