I have a gravity feed 500 gallon diesel tank on tip of a 7 ft stand and just got a used gasoline 12v pump 500 gallon gasoline tank on a steel tube sled.
I'd like to change the gasoline tank to gravity feed... paint it white, label it gasoline then place the tank below the diesel tank on same stand and eliminate the 12v pump and the sled.

What is recommended for proper safety setup?

Can both tanks be on one stand? Are venting or a pressure relieve valve required /recommended and what about grounding?

TIA

Your tanks, I would imagine you can configure them the way you want unless the fuel company that's servicing them has rules or issues with your setup. I know they wouldn't connect my LP tank back up when I renovated unless it was moved at least 10' away from my garage.

That gravity feed diesel would be much too slow for me. I've toyed with a gasoline tank but now that I have a diesel mower I don't use enough gas to keep it fresh. I would end up putting it in my truck.

I would suggest that you check with your supply company
This will eliminate any problems if you do what you want
and they don't like the setup.

I second this. The fuel supply company doesn't care what some random dudes on the internet say. Ask them.

Their driver may be scared of heights.

You could always give the driver a parachute???
or if its really WET some water wings????
Perhaps a bottle of vodka and he won't know the difference???

Yea, just curious why gravity over pumps? Pumps are fairly maintenance free and last for years.
