Rain in NE Texas

It is raining in NE Texas. After over 80 days of no rain, we have our first measurable precipitation. As of noon today it has rained 1 whole inch. This phenomenon has not been observed in some time and only the old folks know what it is. Matter of fact, one of the older Ranchers said, "I wish it would rain - not so much for me, cuz I've seen it, but for my 7-year old."

And in Central Texas! First measurable rain I've had since .58" on July 28th and 29th (Dallas didn't get any officially that time) and as of now I've got about 1.02" in my gauge today and still a very slow sprinkle, with radar indicating I might get a little more. Bird all I can say is congrats and I hope the slow sprinkle stays with you or in your area for a few days. That way maybe some will soak in instead of running off as a hard rain would. Oh yea go out and run around in it!!!!/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
