I suppose if you were to use a tiller, chipper, or snow blower you might like the extra HP...might be able to go with a wider tiller if you had the extra HP, for example.

Oh, a rotary cutter also would appreciate the extra HP.

Does the bx2230/1830 have a loader with a little more lift? I know this is not HP related, but it does come with the tractor with the greator HP... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

And you can use a 60" MMM with the bx2230/1830, but not the 1500

the answer came to me this morning while snowblowing a foot of heavy snow with a 16 hp lawn tractor; horsepower=FUN!

I just bought my 2230 2 WEEKS AGO, Paid $10,500 for tractor & 60" MMM, paid $2250 for LA211FL-1 (4way valve mounted on tractor), $140 for grill guard, $250 for set of bar tires to go with turfs on it already, $1450 for a landpride 42' tiller RTA1542...total $14590 before taxes..delivered to my house. Southeast Iowa....hope this helps
