Quick sandblaster project

Simple project, screw cl, gonna keep it!
I have this combo vac/sandblaster. Typical snapon-
Pricy. I think I paid a few $ years ago. Works well. Put it up on cl for the same $ and about 20 emails
Of no-show 澱uyers and and some offers for 100 or less (new they are 2200)= I will just keep it!

Anyway, nozzle was starting to wear. The gun is easy to rebuild, just washers and o-rings when needed. Time for a tighter nozzle to improve speed

Much faster now, great for flat panel work. No dropcloth needed and can use in the garage without mess

I never knew such a thing existed so I looked around the web and found some info on northern tool web site. Their's is a lot cheaper than Snap-on's is, maybe that is why you got all the low ball offers.

I definitely agree. The Snap-On Tool is not worth $2000. Asking $200 however is not out of the question. In the end it’s probably better that I just keep it and use it when needed. Sometimes it’s nice not to have to deal with the blast cabinet even for smaller items. Just sandblast on the workbench without making a mess

Is that a pressure feed pot ? If so, you could use it to pressure feed a blast cabinet. That’s my eventual plan.

Not a pressure tank. It operates via suction/Venturi for media and the vacuum encompasses the blaster to remove media, dust etc. It “seals” to the part as you go over it. This is an ideally an auto body item, ie sandblast the fender/hood right on the car in the shop without spillage/tarps etc. Working on some rims this morning with it.

For the pro's out there, the new OSHA silica rules will really make this kind of media blasting necessary. Gone are the days of plumes of dust!
