Possibly. If you have a bolt that is the exact same thread, and IF the head is big enough.

But why not just buy the right $2-$3 plug and be done. Thoes o-ring fittings have machined surfaces, and I dont think the underside of a bolt is.

You have a BSP thread on this valve, which is British Standard Pipe Thread
that goes along with the O ring. Its not a good idea to try to substitute a regular bot for this seriously.

if it is a 3/8 orb style valve.. a 9/16 bolt and oring should do it.. however.. what I have done for later use is get a orb to JIC fitting, and a JIC cap. put the orb fitting on and cap .. if you later need that port, you can simply get a jic hose to mate up to it without much fuss and muss at the valve.

BSP is real UNcommon around me. all the ORB style valves I've used recently are straight bolt thread ...
