Quick Hitch 3/4 pins?

Just picked up a HF quick hitch...

Is there a reason the stock lower pins are smaller diameter than the cat 1 pins?

I have an older Massey and needed to connect sway bars to the pins (in addition to the lift arms) ...ended up hogging out the lower mounting holes on the new QH so I could put in longer, 7/8 pins to accommodate the sway bars.

Cat 0 would be 5/8" (edit)

The OP was talking about the LOWER pins. Cat 1 should be 7/8 and cat 0 should be 5/8....

After reading product comments, others have had to rework QH before they could use it.

Humm, wonder if they had a run were they punched the top link holes and the draft arm holes the same. I know they had the width issue for a while but later was ok, I have 2 from there about 10 years old with no issues, but haven’t looked at the new ones lately.

About the pin sizes... And categories....



Either replace pins or use sleeves to match QH...

If you need to make holes larger for pins, look at "bridge reamers" (tapered), expensive but makes job really easy....
