Questions on the TYM 273

Jordon,

Funny, I'm going down the same road as you. I really "liked" they 273, but have decided it's just not quite heavy enough for my needs. So I'm back after almost a year of shopping to the Kioti CK30HST...or the 330, IF I can wait long enough to see one...:) They are little pricey, but the claimed loader lift capacity on 330HST makes me want to wait a bit longer.

I will say that I wish TYM could get their numbers straight. The weight of the 273 is one example... and 3pt lift capacities are another. BTW, I was told by "corporate" that the 273 weighed almost 2000 lbs...:) Well, in any event I'm going to wait another few weeks to see if the 330HST get's to my dealer, but it's starting to get cold here, and I want to do a deal before the snow start's falling.

Good luck with your Kioti, it seems like it's a great value.

Chipperman, the pricing I got from my dealer, for a 273 TLB, included a 6% charge to participate in the 0% for 60 months financing deal. He said it is imposed by TYM, & I certianly have no reason to believe I was being fed a line.

I guess now that we have the $500 rebate if you add the dealer participation fee and the rebate together depending on the total price (tractor loader or TLB) it may be close to 6%+-. Many other mfg's have larger rebates and no dealer participation fee. Any way you look at it with most of the mfg’s, part (only a small part of the total buy down) is past on to the customer. So I guess I stand corrected but I still say if you want to finance it the 0 for 60 is a bargain and the new warranty is excellent. Good luck with what ever you buy!
PS: I am sending this post from 30,000 ft up some ware over Canada/Alaska on my way to the Far East. Pretty neat what you can do with technology.

I also was definitely given two differnet prices depending on if I used the financing or not (cash was less so there is obviously some hidden fee). Not "same-as-cash" x 60 mos like my GC was.

Just went to the TYM website: now it says 3 year warranty. I think I'm done looking at TYM, asking too much for an unknown (in the US) machine. They need to be staightforward and give correct info.

Most companies have a discount for cash. If you run the numbers it is a small fraction of what the interest would cost you on a 5 year loan. If you have the cash and don't care great or put the money in a five year CD and take the 0 for 60. Good luck with what ever you buy.

I agree, Chipperman, & I believe said in my first post, that it is still a good deal even with the up front charge. I just wanted people to know the financing isn't completely free. You know "there aint no free lunch", but there are good deals to be found. I'm still looking at TYM.
Are you going east to check up on the nuke test?

No up-date on the warranty yet.
Iowachild, I do not know why the link you show (of mine?) takes you to the old warranty card page. It has been updated. Go to the site and see for yourself. www.tym-america.com. You will see we have recenlty updated the layout. You no longer need to scroll down the screen to see the warranty or the low rate financing. Just click on the sheild to see the INDUSTRY"S BEST WARRANTY!
Hope that helps. Happy Tractoring

Chipperman,

That link is right off of the "Products" page. Click the "Products" tab on the homepage and there is a link right near the top of the page that comes up.

If you follow the link you now show it does show the updated warranty. I do not know enough about webmastering to know why the other link still takes you to the old warranty card page which was taken down a week or more ago. Thanks for checking back.

Yes, the link on the homepage shows the new warranty. Definitely want to see one of the 273 model in person some day. The down side to living where I do is that all dealers are an hour or more drive away. The closet TYM dealer is over 2 hours away.:p

We have just had our 273 sent back to the manufactures here in the UK. They have had loads of trouble with vibrations from the front axles. there has now been a total recall on all the new 273 supplied here in the UK.

Cheers

We have not seen that here. Our 273's have performed flawlessly without any complaints.

A few, not all, had the flywheels out of time and caused some vibration, all in the US were fixed quite awhile ago.
