Questions for Kubota?

Ask them to make handles off of the loader arm quick disconnect area to pull yourself up to the drivers seat, I don't like trying to grab a hold of the steering wheel on my B3200 parked on a slope just to get up to the seat. Just my 2 cent!!!

Please ask them about an air ride seat on the models that don't have a cab. I have a pro thesis on my left leg and the additional comfort and height would most certainly provide less strain when I change gears. I have a L4400 with a FEL and front grill guard. Also ask them if they could somehow offer grill guards with more protection? The current front grill guards don't offer much protection from protruding tree limbs or debris; etc. Perhaps expanded metal welded on to cover the openings. It would definitely help prevent radiator damage; etc. Thanks for your interest in acquiring suggestions from us Kubota owners.

Or at least sell 2 piece [HST fan] cheap so its easy to put together and fix on the spot.

Why is BX rops not fully foldable when BH is off? it only folds down halfway into a wing head knocker.

Why is there conflicting info in manuals like use ballast at 75% but no reason explained why when using the backhoe you cant have ballast?

Did they come up with a fix to retrofit the HST BX24 to solve sudden stop in reverse?

These are all good questions.

I already know the answer to the last one, but would like to know what it would take.

I second the request for a L45 or M59 with a factory cab.

Why does every excavator that Kubota makes have a way to switch between Cat and JD hoe control layout but none of the TLB's have this feature?

I think I can answer that one... If the ROPS folded any farther it would hit the cylinder rod on the BH cylinder. A ding there could get really expensive. If it could fold down and hit the rod, the outcry over "stupid engineering" would be deafening.

A foolproof system to let it fold farther only when the hoe is off would be difficult. There are some remarkably talented fools in the world.

I'd be interested in knowing if they have plans to offer the 'B' tractors with position control instead of that infernal 1/4-inching valve.

I'd ask why the seats in the RTV's and the BX's are so uncomfortable. Who or what tests these things?...Tolerable but not acceptable for machines at this price point.

Also, to get into TSC (or anywhere else for that matter), they need a much better logo...That stupid thing is almost unreadable..Not important, just sayin.

Tell them to read the "what would you change on the next BX " thread.

http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kubota-buying-pricing/242938-ideas-kubotas-next-bx-lineup.html

Read it.. Listen to it .. and Adopt it for the next model. That is real feedback from real users..

Personally, If I was there I'd tell them to fix the darn BX roll bar. 3 position holes and a warning sticker would solve the folding into the cylinder issue.

And how about improving the lighting and seat.. Drive over deck perhaps?

Basically tell them to look at the deere 1 series and copy it... it's heads and tails better than the BX in terms of usability.

I agree with the lighting...It's horrible on the BX, especially rear lighting...Had to bury a dog in the rain using the 4-ways...I shouldn't have to do that on an almost 20K SCUT tractor...A drive over deck would be nice, although I rarely remove my MMM.

The roll bar never really bothered me much although I have knocked my gourd on it a few times when down..No harm there.

I'd like to see some of he things mentioned here and I'd like see more Die-Cast toys besides the 2 riding mowers they seem to offer now, sounds silly but one day I might have some grandchildren to buy toys for.

is it the M-series thing with the rural TV channel?

Don't know what other media will be there, but they did say the M-series and UTVs will be the products. We'll know tomorrow.

First.... the new HST+ is a huge improvement. I love it.

That said:

The cast mounting bracket for the FEL on my L4240 reminds of Chinese and Eastern European imports of five to ten years ago. Why on earth would Kubota take the time to build a class act tractor, but not require a supplier to grind the surface smooth before painting. I find it so embarrassing I no longer brag or show my tractor to friends.

Why can't Kubota demand suppliers use the same color and quality of paint. Why does my Grand L 4240 HSTC have so many different colors of orange, e.g. roof versus rear wheels, versus FEL cylinders, ad nausea.

How do you justify a $220 rear windshield wiper motor. Especially given the front motor is half the price and used much more frequently?

Hi Everybody,

This week, I will be attending a Kubota media event and will have an opportunity to ask Kubota product managers questions about Kubota tractors. If you have any specific questions related to Kubota tractors that you'd like us to ask, please either post in this thread or send me a private message.

That's great! Hope you get some good quality time away from the computer....

This is more of a social networking question than a mechanical one. But, I think we would all be curious to know if Kubota follows any of the issues that we discuss here on Tractorbynet?

I's sure that Kubota realizes that a pool of potentially valuable information is created when the forum members openly discuss the purchase and use of Kubota products.

There's a lot of talent and innovative information in these forum posts. Do the Kubota technical, management, and marketing people listen in?

Have fun out there,
rScotty.

I would like a parking brake interlock so you can't drive off with the brake on. Do it too frequently on both my RTV and Grand L but my cheapo JD lawn tractor has an interlock just like the construction equipment my company builds. Would love an air suspension seat I could retrofit on my Grand L, also with easier fore-aft adjust because my wife can't adjust the seat forward like she needs it and keeps killing the engine since she sits so far forward while I have the seat all the way back. Ram stop for the loader so I can remove the radiator screen without removing the loader or bending the screen frame. 17 character VIN on tractor for theft deterrent. Reduced smoke on start and acceleration (my L5740 has set off he smoke alarm in my garage and that soot isn't nice to breathe). More air conditioner capacity.
