"Got my
BX24 yesterday . . . The manual states on page 47 "When installing the mower, disconnect the inlet and outlet hoses of backhoe and connect the tractor outlet hose to the tractor power beyond pipe. If this is not done, damage of the control valve of backhoe can result." Nothing is said of interference with the 3 pt. . . . "
I'll have to check the
BX22 manual, but I do not recall any advise to disconnect the backhoe hydraulics. That may be a change for the
BX24. On the other hand, that's a simple 1-2 minute task that doesn't require actually removing the backhoe. I'm guessing if that is a change with the new
BX24, the dealerships are not receiving training on the change and are assuming it is the same as the 22/23 models. I'm curious if there is a new control valve on the 24 that can be damaged, whereas the 22/23 couldn't. Maybe all are the same and there have been a few problems, so this is only to prevent issues???
Also, my apology for incorrect info on the 3 pt arms being a problem with the backhoe/mmm attached. I haven't used mine like this in a long time - thought I rememberd it being an issue. Our grass is so dry here, there is no need to mow, so I took my MMM off recently and put the backhoe on for a few chores. I didn't end up trying the combo of MMM/Backhoe as I had planned.
