Question about zero turn transaxles

/ Question about zero turn transaxles #21
Those Hydrogear 2200 axles are for the lightweight machines but Ive noticed alot of the manufacturers building consumer ZTR's are using them more and more to reduce costs, even on larger ZTR's. I have a 2014 Exmark Quest residential ZTR and back then they used at minimum the ZT2800 serviceable hydro's. Since they are owned by Toro now they have cheapened them up and they all have the 2200's now, even the ones running the 60" deck. (The Toro Timemaster and Exmark Quest are basically the same mower)

Chances are you wont have any issues with the 2200 axles in your machine BUT if you do it will render it basically worthless for sale. If it were me I would sell it now and buy something with better hydro's for peace of mind.
